You worked your way inside, You promised me the world as long as I gave you my mind. But were you by my side, When I needed you the most? And it’s happening again, You play me for a fool and ask for my blind devotion. And it’s too late to pretend, Your name is dead to me and now I’m free I’ll see you, Bleed, bleed just like me. I can hear you crying, are you scared you’ll catch my disease? Another pack of lies, The truth’s a casualty when you’re winning over minds. I see it in your eyes, That to you it’s just a game. And it’s happening again; The faithful stare and I can see betrayal in their eyes, And it’s too late to pretend, You turned your back don’t see, I’ll make you see I’ll see you, Bleed, bleed just like me. I can hear you crying, are you scared you’ll catch my disease? Now it’s dark and it’s hard to tell. Like a stone down a wishing well it’s, Hard to believe, harder to breathe. Trust in me and it’ll all be well. Suicide’s a fast track to hell it’s, Hard to believe, harder to breathe. I crossed the desert, calling your name. I tried the jungle but – no answer came. I guess I should’ve known that your promise meant nothing, In the end I’m all alone. I was caught in your web of deceit but the revelation’s come, I’ve seen your face.

Saw you today, walking down the street. It’s a crazy little thing, but I was longing for our eyes to meet. Yeah it’s the way that you look at me, With the fire in your eyes promising carnal desires to me. You hold all of me. Another sweet disaster, I caught your great disease, And now my heart beats faster, cos now I can’t break free. Another perfect torture, you’re swanning through my dreams, Your face a burning portrait, and now I can’t find peace. You’re out of reach, or so it seems to me. Your perfect body yearns but I never seem to find the breach. Yeah it’s your depth, another mystery, Every time I come close there’s another level I can’t see. Yeah it’s the way that you make me feel, All the burning inside and the butterflies from hell. You are the perfect princess, I am the prince of thieves. You never knew the real me, cos I could never please. So long to preconceptions, you’ve swept me off my feet, I’m getting dragged under, into blissful defeat.

Dear Brother 04:04
Dear brother, take another step, and find that you’re straight out of line. I know you think you’re owed it but, there’s no way that it’s justified. Maybe in another life, you will get your share. But for know you’ll lose the fight, because you don’t know, And now I’ll show you. Time and time again you are the holy one, and truth the casualty. Turn to fight and lose your sight you know you’re right, but you won’t convince me. And you could never understand you’re blind, 'cos you think you can see. Crash and burn the tide won’t turn until you learn, that you’re the enemy. Hey sister glad you missed the fight last night, the storm it shook the walls. Take cover for another round of screaming, "Man you’ve got me wrong!" Maybe you’re the one that’s right, and we’re just all fucked up. But for now put down the knife, because you don’t know. And now I’ll show you.

Hey You 03:59
Mother woke them in the dead of the night, She said it’s time to go. It didn’t take them long to pack up their things, They’d already lost their homes. I’ve got another confession to make, And it’s been building for a while. Cos I’m not sure how much more I can take, Standing by with a smile. And they said hey you, haven’t I seen you some place before? Not here, no, don’t you know what they’ve been running from? They’d been on the run for what seemed their whole lives, From wars that spread like plague. Father bought their escape on a knife, His blood their freedom paid. Storm lashed and sunburned they came to our shores, Thankful just for their lives. The things they’d braved to come here only to find, What they’d just left behind. Take me away from here. Their eyes are pleading. Take me away from here. Their hearts are bleeding. Take me away from here. Their lives we’re stealing. Take me away from here.

The Unnamed 04:12
Hey listen up cos I’ve got something I need to say, And you ain’t gonna like i. It must feel pretty good looking down on us all, But now we’re gonna fight it. Another shot in the dark, another president falls, A man they said was too weak kicked off the first world war. And though you’re pushing us down, we’ll be back for more, Don’t you know the score? And do you know my name? We aren’t the ones who live in magazines, but we do alright. You’ll never see us on the silver screen, with our name in lights. We are the ones who never make the top, but still we fight. You’ll never know our names but we have pride, and we hold it tight, 'cos we do alright. Hey little girl lose the dreams, put your guitar away, Who told you you could play? Stick your head in and work til you drop don’t you know, That’s just the lot you’ve been given. Another face in the crowd, another brick in the wall, The more you try to stand out, you know the harder you’ll fall. And though you’re pushing us down, we’ll be back for more, Don’t you know the score? And do you know our names? We’re just the regular people on the street, but we do alright. We have the faces you’ll never stop to greet, but we do alright.

Have you ever looked up at night, Wondered why the stars are so bright? What if I said I could take you there Take you to the ends of the earth, Where silence reigns and watch its birth, In the soft glow of all creation Just take my hand, we’ll step out of time No duties no end of the line Together we’ll set the world on fire You’ll be quite safe don’t fret your head I’m the monster under monster’s beds The all seeing all knowing changer of faces Run away from this place Find a new name and face It’s the only way I know how to live my life Through the flame and the fight Save the day, stop the night I’ll show you everything you ever want to see And maybe I’m just scared And maybe I’m just running from the darkness in me Running from the side you can’t see But tell me I’m not there When I need to save your life It’s a better life Are you scared by this place? Take a breath and erase Have you stared in my face? Have you seen your final days?
